Last weekend we went to Homedec Part 1 Design It at KL Convention Centre to look for kitchen cabinet. Actually it is our sister-in-law that is looking for the kitchen cabinet and since we have went there before, we suggest her to go there. We actually have engaged Rowenta Kitchen from the last Homedec. This time around is a bit different compared to the last Homedec in April because they organized it in two weekends.
The first weekend or the first part is for design it which consists of exhibitors from the following categories:
– built-in wardrobe
– kitchen cabinet and appliances
– dining and tableware
– bath and sanitaryware
– water filtration and solar heater
– tiles and stones
– floor and wall finishes
– wall coverings and paints
– window, door and glass
– roofing and insulation
– smarthomes and switches
– home security system
– interior design consultation
The second weekend or the final part is for furnish it which consists of exhibitors from the following categories:
– audio visual and sound specialist
– home theatre system
– home appliances
– water heater and fan
– bedroom and wardrobe
– mattress and bedding products
– curtain, blinds and carpets
– furniture and furnishing
– home office
– kids living
– decorative items and lightings
– art and wall decor
– garden and outdoor living
– landscape and aquarium
– movers and pest control
We reached there in the afternoon and there is already a large crowd of people going to the Homedec exhibition.
We took about one hour to survey on the different kitchen cabinet packages from the exhibitors. One good thing about Homedec is that you can move from one booth to another booth to get the quotations and can save you a lot of time. Some of the kitchen cabinet exhibitors that we found at this Homedec is Signature Kitchen, Rowenta, Kian Classic, and Jetshen. Actually there is more exhibitors at this Homedec but since we are rushing to go to Hari Raya Open House at our friends house in Klang, we have to limit our search to few booth only. In the end, my sister-in-law opt to choose Jetshen Kitchen since their office is in Batu Caves and near to her house. It is also a bit cheaper compared to other exhibitors. Quality wise hopefully will be good :). But from our observation, we saw that Kian Classic draws the most number of visitors to their booth but we didn’t even ask them for quotations because it was too crowded and most of their sales people are occupied.
While my wife and sister busy negotiating with the sales people for the kitchen cabinet, i was attracted at this booth Hong Lee which is just next to Jetshen. HongLee basically sells window and sliding doors and the material they used is quite good and looks modern.
This weekend is Homedec second part furnish it which focuses on furnishing. If you are looking for electrical appliances and furnitures, then you may want to visit there. Try to compare prices from several booth and then make your decisions. Do come early because it will be difficult to find parking space at KL Convention Centre. Since we arrive there quite late, we have to park at KLCC and it is really far to walk from there to KL Convention Centre with our twin kids.
